Departing from Adelaide, we set off in search of the Flinders Ranges β a vast and rugged mountain region in the South Australian outback, surrounded by endless desert landscapes and roads that seem to disappear into the horizon. After a long, barren (aside from 30 million locusts flying directly into our windscreen), dusty three-hour drive, we finally rolled into our campsite. Arriving in Adelaide as the sun dipped behind the mountain backdrop felt like something out of a movie. Before weβd even entered the city, we kept turning to each other saying, βI could sooo live here.β A completely irrational conclusion given we hadnβt actually seen any of it yetβ¦ but hey, call us optimists. Great Ocean Road-Tripping
What better way to celebrate a quarter century than on the Great Ocean Road? Perhaps golfing with 100+ kangaroos. Well, thatβs how βold manβ Jack spent his 25th birthday - at the Anglesea golf club. Nothing could have prepared us for the sheer quantity of kangaroos scattered across the course, completely unfased by flying golf balls and increasingly frustrated golfers. It was surreal.
